Resistive or Capacitive Touch Screen
URL: https://www.reshine-display.com/resistive-or-capacitive-touch-screen.html Resistive touch screens operate by sensing direct pressure applied by the user. It can be activated by pressing it not only with a finger but also with a stylus (unlike the competing capacitive technology). A resistive touch screen consists of a touch layer placed on top of a standard display. The touch layer normally includes two transparent electrical layers separated by a small gap. Resistive touchscreens can be used effectively for simple panel controls, such as an automotive GPS panel control or other keypad-replacement applications, or in applications that require gloved use. Capacitive touch screens are built with a thin layer of conductive material, such as copper or Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), printed onto the underside of the display's insulating outer layer. When a finger touches the screen, a small electrical charge is drawn to the point of contact, which effectively becomes a ...
